Pole positions for the day were snapped up by both Fraser Brunton and Harry Nottage with Harry recording the fastest time and collecting the all-important extra point.
Green Lights!! Go!!
Race one was quickly underway and Jack Adams once again benefited from being a “Heavy Weight” (See… It has its advantages) took the lead on lap one and didn’t let go of it all the way to the chequered flag. No need to be the Bus driver today Jack. Great driving from Jack who had another “Not so light weight” Adam Richards keeping him honest as the two crossed the line 6 months clear of the rest of the field leaving Harry Charalalalalabous to fill the final podium position in a very distant 3rd.
Warp Speed…… Engaged! Fraser Brunton lined up on pole position… Took a deep breath and…. “Didn’t pull away into the distance” as some expected.
Our top three, all champions, began their own private battle for supremacy with Adam Harding and Oliver Flashman joining Fraser at the front of the pack. Fraser did cling onto the race lead as the chequered flag flew pipping, Just pipping Oliver Flashman and Adam Harding.
Jake Taplin took the spoils in his first race D.O.M.I.N.A.T.I.N.G race one after taking the race lead on lap two and pulling clear from the following pack. IaroslavKovalev completed the race as “maid of honour” (We know he likes this role ) as he settled for 2nd leaving Harry Nottage to complete the podium, must to his mums pleasure who spent the race screaming or shouting about something (AS Per)
If you think Harry’s mum was “LLAAUD” (Loud) in race 1, race 2 was a different story as Harry won.. I do like having the random few parents I can bully!
A comfy victory for Harry who finished a few seconds clear of race 1 winner Jake Taplin, a good haul of point for Jake today! The always screaming James Rose collected 3rd, calm down James!
Oliver Flashman found his way into the B Final, which then then won!
Fraser Brunton started from pole and began stretching his legs.
Jake Taplin settled into 2nd with Jack Adams for company in 3rd. Both IaroslavKovalevand Oliver Flashman enjoyed their positions at the back of the field so much they decided to stay there and fight amongst themselves. Jake Taplin soon decided to stop defending and “Proving a tow for Jack” (Jake’s words) and actually resorted to “Racing” Alleluia!! We had a race, Fraser’s lead soon started to decrease, little by little Jake Taplin started rolling up his sleeves and catching the race leader. Jack Adam’s was still fighting hard but his bus driving skills were AWOL and Harry Nottage dethroned him for 3rd. JAKE TAPLIN OVERTOOK!!! No Lies, it happed, Jake took the lead right when it mattered most and soon Harry Nottage for company as he followed him past Fraser also.
With the chequered flag, “Kinda” held near aloft by Sam at start finish Jake Taplin recorded an “unlikely” win with Harry Nottage 2nd and Fraser Brunton 3rd.
Driver Of The Day
(After three weeks off I came back)
Pole Position was more than happily collected by Jack Williamson along with the extra point… Points make prises.
The competition could huff and puff, push and pull all they liked; this was going to be Jack Williamson’s race today as he led from green lights to chequered flag. Kye was (Again) Jack biggest threat keeping him on his toes every lap and collecting 2nd just a few inches behind.
Using different hair gel (Cheaper stuff) and actually having helmet hair after the race for a change was YianCharalalalalalmbus who completed the podium.
A quick shout out to Gabriel Hill, his first race today in the cadets, following in his brothers footsteps Cameron who also raced in the league.
Jack and Kye again finished 1 and 2 in race 2, but this time was a little closer as Emily “Go Slow” Jackson didn’t go all to slow as finished within a second of race winner who this time was Kye who reversed the result from race 1 and filled the top step of the podium. Finishing just 0.666 (Scary) behind Kye was Jack. Yian this time had to settle for 5th behind Matt “Max Not Jos Verstappen” Robinson. Illbe reversing the Max and Jos if we don’t start getting a few podiums soon!
Kye lined up on pole position with Jack in 2nd……. Here we go!!!!
Oops!! Contact between the front two in full Hamilton and Rosberg style, I see trouble ahead!
Now, we haven’t had a blog in a few weeks, school holidays, time, many different reasons, this week was going to be the same, but… well. Emily Jackson rose like the phoenix from the flames and took the lead, I can picture it now.
Hall and Oates… Man Eater (Back Ground Music)
Race leaders taking each other off, Emily stealing the show and like “Days Of Thunder” the race then turned slowmo, Emily takes the lead…..
The Blues Brothers appear with Gimme Some Lovin… Hans Zimmer on standby….
(I know I’ve lost all the cadet readers now)
As you may have guessed…. Emily Jacksopn recorded her first win, right place right time and some awesome driving, fully deserved.
Yian capitalised and filled a great 2nd place with Miguel taking 3rd
