Everyone starts with a clean slate today, this should be fun
Henry George secured the season’s first pole position before the real battle began as we started the heats.
The battle at the front of both heats were, who I am tipping to be this seasons “benchmarks,” Last seasons Most Improved Driver, Last Seasons Rising Star and the most improved driver from the season before had their own private battle at the front, Henry George, Jack “Jackpot” Williamson and Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have A Nickname” Shelton. These three “mighty midgets” dominated proceedings with Jackpot filling 1st in heat one, about 2 inches ahead of Henry George leaving Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton to complete the podium.
Not wanting to be called Oliver “The BridesMaide” Shelton, Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have A Nickname” Shelton turned his 3rd position into 1st position for heat two! Jackpot and Henry George continued their private feud filling 2nd and 3rd.A quick shout out to Phillip Strauss, a great drive in heat one to grab 4th place!
Beau secured pole position, but it was The driver formally known as Oliver who filled the top step in both races one and two as Flash signalled his championship intentions from race one, two wins and we all know Flash can drive in the wet, Flash is this seasons hot favourite! (Don’t make me eat my words!) The consistent point scorer Beau filled 2nd in race one just ahead of Kye Kinch.
Jessica White was the nearest driver to Flash in race two with a great 2nd place finish, Never count our Kye, he again crossed the line in 3rd position.
Vinny Lloyd secured a place in the A Final after victory in the B Final.
Flash made himself comfortable in pole position for the A Final, followed by another Oliver, Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton leaving Jack “Jackpot” Williamson 3rd.
Great start from Kye, he’s already 3rd! Make that 2nd and challenging for the lead!
Oops! Flash and Kye tangle, the unflappable Flash has flapped and to the back of the grid they go!
Henry George is again battling with “best buddy” “Jackpot” and Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton, Beau Sullivan (we’ll think of a nickname soon) is also in contention.
Jessica White making herself comfortable in 5th pulling away from the advancing Vinny Lloyd.
Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname, but keeps getting lots of mentions” Shelton grabs 1st…. and “Sails away, sail away, sail away” (Enya, ask your parents)
Jackpot and Henry George are too busy playing handbags with each other and allow an easy victory for Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton.
Jackpot is 2nd and brilliant Beau steals 3rd from under Henry’s nose! That was close!
Driver Of The Day! Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton
Championship Top 3!
Oliver Shelton: 38
Jack Williamson: 32
Beau Sullivan: 30
Harry Charalamalalalalalalalalalalalalalalabous seized Pole position despite having to carry all those “L’s and A’s”
It was a case of Déjà vu in the heats as both races saw the same top three drivers in both.
The Brilliant Alfie Wratten has a chance to top the championship this season, two wins in two races will go a long way to making sure that happens! Maximum points and pole position in the A Final confirmed.
Harry Charalamalalalalalalalalalalalalalalabous stalked Alf every step of the way and filled 2nd, twice! Last season’s most improved driver, Jack Adams was Mr Third in both races.
Fastest Pole position point goes to Tom Emson.
Scrappy, pants driving made group B’s racing less entertaining than any other the others, we did see Oliver Moo-Jew-Jew collect a well-deserved win in race one ahead of Georgie Anker and 3rd placed Adam Harding after a battle through the field.
Luck finally did go Tom Emson’s way in race two, a quality win from a quality driver, well deserved!
The driver who is always happy (Unless he doesn’t have a nice seat insert) Harvey Roffe filled a great 2nd followed by another good result from Oliver Moo-Jew-Jew.
Are we missing someone?
Jack Goldsmith was here today, he secured a place in the A Final via the B Final… again.
Like Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname” Shelton, Alfie too has been listening to Enya’s greatest hits, The rest of the field stood by and waved as Alfie selected 1st gear and drove away into the distance… Bye Alfie!
The battle behind was fierce despite Alfie making it boring, 2nd could be any bodies with the pack tightly packed, that was until Harvey Roffe filled 2nd position dragging Georgie Anker behind him.
Alfie crossed the line 100% win rate today. Awesome Job!
Harvey held onto 2nd with Georgie 3rd.
A fine result also for Harry Charalamalalalalalalalalalalalalalalabous as he crossed the line in 4th
Driver Of The Day! Harvey Roffe
Championship Top 3!
Alfie Wratten: 27
Harvey Roffe: 23
