Race suits, helmets, cotton, balaclavas, gloves, kart & safety briefing and well maintained racing karts. Can I bring my own Helmet & Race Suit? Yes, providing it is BS standard & a full face helmet with visor. Race suits must be in good condition. Soft flat shoes or trainers are recommended, Do I need any special licence to practice or race? No. In fact many drivers hold no licence at all & have never driven a motorised vehicle. We will give you full instruction and a safety briefing. Is there an age or height limit? Yes, for arrive & drive practice the minimum age is 8 years old and more importantly 4 feet for our junior restricted karts. For race karts the only limit is minimum of 16 years of age and 5’ tall to enter our race meetings. We will always do our best to get all customers and any special needs drivers onto the circuit. Do I need to book? For race meetings it is advisable to book as far ahead as possible, to avoid disappointment. Ideally for practice sessions it is best to call and check availability, but it is OK to just arrive and we will try and get you on the track as soon as possible. Can I bring spectators/guests? Yes, spectators are welcome to watch race events and practice sessions. They can enter the public viewing areas free of charge. How many drivers are needed for practice sessions? From one to as many as you want! How many drivers are needed for an event? You only need one person/team to join an open event. Exclusive events may require minimum numbers. When should I arrive at the circuit? Approx. 30 minutes before your allocated sign ontime. Arriving early helps us organise you for your event or practice, but booking times are provisional. Is a deposit always required? Not always. For arrive & drive practice just a phone call to check availability is required. However groups in excess of 4 drivers in exclusive, “open” solo & team events require a 50% deposit when booking and full payment 2 weeks prior to the race event. Is there any catering? Yes. We have vending machines for snacks and drinks. For corporate events we can arrange a full buffet or hot food for all visitors. Corporate and exclusive group bookings How many drivers can I bring? From one to one hundred+. We have no upper limit to driver numbers. Around 18 drivers or 15 teams as a starting point for exclusive use, depending on time of booking. Please asee price list or call for details. How much deposit is required? All exclusive events require 50% deposit of events value when booked. To avoid disappointment all events should be booked as far ahead as possible. Can the trophies be personalised? Yes. All event prices include trophies plus bubbly for the presentation. Subject to 6 weeks notice we can have special engraving carried out at an extra charge for exclusive event customers. Additional trophies and medals may be purchased if required (See extras Menu). What does exclusive use mean? Exclusive use is hiring the full Lakeside circuit for your group only. Can I arrange specialist catering? Yes. A full BBQ and buffet menu is available to corporate & group clients who pre-order from the hot or cold menus. Vending machines for snacks and drinks are available during race meetings.
