A great week 2 in the Brentwood Karting Race League was another professional performance from our Cadet League Drivers, soon the Cadet will have to give our Senior League some tuition! 🙂
Kye Kinch performed the rain dance in qualifying as he stole pole position.
Kye didn’t have it his own way in race one, Matthew Robinson was AWESOME! Being the only driver not to have a spin resulted in 1st place. TanerTossoun also put in a great performance to collect 2nd leaving pole position holder Kye to fill 3rd.
Race Two saw a turn around, a dryer circuit and a few less pirouettes! Beau “Half Glass” Sullivan (A reference to mum’s Red Wine intake) clawed his way to the front, winning race two. Jack “Jackpot” Williamson recovered after an atrocious first race to claim 2nd leaving Mr Impressive, Matt “Max, Not Jos Verstappen” Robinson to take 3rd.
Henry “Twist” George scored todays first point, Fastest Pole Position Lap.
Flash Arrrrr! Henry’s 1st place was gone! Flasher’s was in a different postcode to the rest of the field he assassinated the competition winning by about 6 days! Henry George was “Best Of The Rest.” YianCharalamalalalalalalalalalalalalalalabous recorded an impressive 3rd place!
Henry George was back amongst the wins for race two, Just, Flash was 2nd, by a tenth! A great battle between the front two. Keep it up Chaps! Vinny “The New Sparra”Lloyd kept his nose clean to collect a great 3rd place!
Kye Kinch secured his place in the A Final via a win in the B Final leaving Oliver “Who Currently Doesn’t Have a Nickname and won’t get one if he isn’t in the reports” Shelton to fill 2nd.
Flash, Henry George and Beau “Fill My Glass” Sullivan topped the grid starting 1, 2 and 3, it would be a battle with these three for the entire race as well as they were in a league of their own.
Kye had an impressive race starting last and fighting his way through the field to eventually finish 4th.
The battle at the front was where all eyes were as the front three demolished the competition!
Flash kept the early lead before Beau “Where’s My Glass” Sullivan slipped passed, like Red Wine out the bottle to take the lead.
Henry George now had a play mate in the shape of Flash, these two left no inch as they had their own private battle, hang on guys, Don’t forget Beau! Beau “Another Glass” Sullivan now had an unassailable lead.
Beau “One More Glass” Sullivan crossed the line! Victory, time to celebrate, Beau’s first win. How will mum celebrate?…
Henry George won the battle between himself and Flash, 2nd place for Henry and 3rd for Flashers!
Driver Of The Day! Matt “Max, Not Jos Verstappen” Robinson
Championship Top 3!
Beau Sullivan: 67
Harry Nottage: 61
Oliver Shelton: 55
The returning Sam Basstoe claimed pole position.
Sam converted pole position into the best possible thing, A race win. A race long battle with Jack “It wasn’t my fault” Adams before Jacks fine performance result in a spin from the lead.
Oliver Moo-Jew-Jew’s Christmas came early, 2nd place on a plate! Dylan “Dot” Cotton was pleased with 3rd.
Sam Basstoe was having things all his own way with another win in race two! Also wanting to be consistence was Oliver Moo-Jew-Jew as he again took 2nd place. Jack “It was someone else’s fault” Adam bounced back after his mistake in race one to collect 3rd in race two and a place in the A Final. Geogie ANKAHHHHHH “nicked” the pole position point Oi, InitBruv!
ANKAHHHHHH wasn’t just pleased with one point for pole position, a great aka Wicked Blud!Race win was Georgie in followed by current Champion Adam Harding, he had to settled for 2nd place and James Littlechild ended 3rd.
ANKAHHHHHH was back with another win in race two, InitAdam wasn’t far behind as he again filled 2nd, this championship is going to be close.
An impressive display from Alex Jay in race two as he finished 3rd.
Never count out Alfie Wratten, he found his way into the A Final via a win in the B Final.
Green Lights!! Go…
Basstoe kept his position at the front as the front four played follow the leader.
The battle at the back was a messy one, as a majority of the drivers drove like they were taking part in a C Final.
Yellow Flag. A bump at the back ends Alfie’s chances of progression, but setting a 35 second lap under a yellow flag isn’t Sam’s best decision -4pts, Georgie and Adam, were slower, but not by much, another 3pts removed.
Oliver Moo-Jew-Jew managed to break free from the rookie pack and into a comfortable 4th position. Another good driver from Alex Jay would result in 5th place today.
It was “as you were” at the front.
Sam kept his position to win the race with Georgie following in 2nd and Adam 3rd.
